Dr. Sonny Sekhon
After setting his mind on doing cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Sonny Sekhon realized during residency at a hospital that his true calling was treating children. Kids felt at ease in his presence, and he has always had a connection with kids. After applying his cosmetic training to the treatment of his younger patients, the outcomes were phenomenal. Dr. Sekhon was quickly recognized as the top resident in his program.
Upon completion of his specialty training in pediatrics, he was hired as the Director of Pediatrics for a large group of dental practices. It was his responsibility to build up the pediatric patient base in various offices throughout the state before deciding to settle down in South Jersey. Dr. Sekhon has gone on to become a premiere pediatric dentist in New Jersey.
Growing Smiles of Voorhees was born out of his vision on how pediatric dental care should be. The focus is on the comfort of the patient, as well as the parents. The relaxing atmosphere of the office makes coming to the dentist a pleasurable experience. Dr. Sekhon has also developed techniques to treat children in a single sitting, using minimal anesthesia. This results in painless, quick dentistry of the highest quality. Parents are happy that they don't have many repeat trips to the dentist. We're sure the kids don't mind either!

Meet Dr. Ahkiah Allen
Dr. Ahkiah Allen is licensed in general dentistry in both the U.S. and Canada. She practices with a strong emphasis on patient education and preventive care. Her scope of procedures includes implant restoration, veneers, crowns, bridges, dentures, root canals, orthodontics, extractions, and fillings.
Dr. Allen has extensive experience in geriatric oral health care, having provided regular dental cleanings and dentures to the patients of dozens of South Jersey nursing home facilities. She stays abreast of current trends in her field by attending regular continuing education courses, seminars, and dental conventions. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, cross-stitching, and traveling.
Meet Dr. Karisa Carroll
Dr. Karisa Carroll, pediatric dentist, received her bachelors in chemistry from St. Mary's College of Maryland, where she played soccer and lacrosse. After college, she went on to complete her dental school training at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Spending her summers as a camp counselor and sports coach, she found a strong passion for working with children early on in her life. This passion translated to her two-year pediatric dentistry residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, in Philadelphia.
Dr. Carroll is a member of the American Academy of the Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association. She specializes in treating children of all ages as well as those with special healthcare needs. She believes the most important outcome from your child's dental visit is for a child to have an encouraging and enjoyable experience. Dr. Carroll accomplishes this with deep compassion and understanding of the fears and anxiety your child may have. She hopes to create a dental "home" early on in your child's life, and most of all, wants to make your child's dental experience positive and fun!
Meet Dr. Nicole Berk
Dr. Nicole Berk has been providing general and cosmetic dentistry in southern New Jersey for twenty years. A graduate of Brandeis University in Massachusetts, she received her DMD in 2001 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Berk prides herself on providing excellence in dentistry and commits herself to providing a superior level of care and creating relaxing experiences that puts her patients at ease. Dr. Berk enjoys spending her free time with her husband and her two young sons.
Meet Dr. Bo Jung
Dr. Bo Jung is a pediatric dentist from Rockville Centre, NY on Long Island. He attended Wesleyan University and after bouncing around for a few years, he moved to Boston for dental school. He is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed his specialty training at the University of Buffalo/Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
A recent Philadelphia transplant, Dr. Jung enjoys exploring all the restaurants, cafes, and history with his wife, Sarah.
Dr. Jung is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and New Jersey Dental Association.
Meet Dr. Michael Ahdout
Dr. Michael Ahdout, General Dentist, received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Yeshiva University. During his time there he was very involved with community service, outreach and tutoring students of all ages.
After college he took a year off and worked as a substitute teacher, science instructor and private tutor. He continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he was president of Alpha Omega, an international dental organization, and helped student leaders across the country connect with fellow dental students.
Upon his graduation from Penn, Dr. Ahdout went on to complete a general practice residency, at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he gained experience in all facets of dentistry.
Dr. Ahdout uses his strong background in education to include his patients in their treatment plans to ensure their full understanding of the process and the dental work to be done so that they feel relaxed, trusting and comfortable in his chair.
He hopes that this can foster a strong relationship of mutual trust and understanding between provider and patient.
Meet Dr. Khushali Ghetia
Dr. Khushali Ghetia is a board certified pediatric dentist. Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and her dental degree at Columbia University in New York City. While in dental school, Dr. Khushali discovered her passion for working with children. She went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Khushali strives to make every child's dental visit an amazing experience by ensuring that it is comfortable and fun! She treats each child as an individual and provides personalized dental care for all of her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Khushali enjoys cooking, baking reading and working out.
Meet Dr. Colleen Browne
Dr. Colleen Browne is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and completed her pediatric dental residency at St. Christophers Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Browne is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as well as the American Dental Association.
The greatest part of being a pediatric dentist for Dr. Browne is creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children she treats, with the goal of making every patient love going to the dentist. In her free time, Dr. Browne loves traveling with her husband Jonathan throughout North, Central, and South America, baking homemade bread, going to farmers markets, and discovering all the wonderful restaurants Philly has to offer.
Meet Dr. Dev Patel
Dr. Patel grew up in St. Louis, MO where he also attended undergrad at Saint Louis University and received a Bachelor of Science in Health Management and Policy with a minor in Spanish. He then attended dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he developed a love for pediatric dentistry. This culminated in the completion of a 2-year residency program at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Patel loves helping kids foster a fantastic relationship with the dentist and hopes to make every dental visit a positive experience! In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys exploring new Philly restaurants with his fiancée and watching his favorite baseball, hockey, and football teams!
Meet Dr. Alexandria Farrell
Dr. Alexandria Farrell is a Board-Eligible Pediatric Dentist specialized in providing dental and oral health care to infants, children, and adolescents, including those with complex healthcare needs. Dr. Alexandria was born and raised in New Jersey, earning her undergraduate degree in Biology at Ramapo College of New Jersey, followed by her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Columbia University in New York City. During dental school, Dr. Alexandria realized early on that her passion was working with kids because that's when she felt she could really bring her energy and enthusiasm to her patients' visits to help them feel more comfortable and even have some fun! Dr. Alexandria went on to complete her pediatric dentistry residency training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She currently lives in Philadelphia with her cat, Mowgli, and in her free time loves walking around and exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and cheering for Philly sports!
Dr. Hetal Patel
Dr. Hetal Patel is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She grew up in Florence, NJ and was valedictorian in high school. Upon graduating high school, she accepted admission to a highly competitive seven-year accelerated BA/DMD program affiliated with the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). She then went on to complete a rigorous two-year pediatric dentistry program at NYU Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Patel is trained in various modes of behavior management and evidence-based dentistry. Her gentle and compassionate tone will allow your child to feel comfortable throughout the appointment. One of her main goals as a pediatric dentist is to have every child leave with a happy experience and a smile on their face. This enables her to create a long-lasting and trusting relationship with every child and parent. She is very passionate about her field, and her love of kids becomes evident as you watch her treat your child.
In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, working out, trying new restaurants, and watching sports with her husband and two kids. She looks forward to serving the community she lives in!
